Khojaly massacre was commemorated in Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University

Fatih Sultan Mehmet University with Young Azerbaijani Reformers Public Union organized a commemoration program for the 27th anniversary of the Khojaly massacre. At the Commemoration Ceremony, Chairman of Grand National Assembly of Turkey-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group Şamil Ayrım, Deputy of Azerbaijan Nagif Hamzayev, President of Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver, Head of Political Science Department at Istinye University Dr. İsmail Safi, Head of Young Azerbaijani Reformers Public Union Ferit Şahbazlı, Journalist Ardan Zentürk and President of Azerbaijan Democracy and Human Rights Institute Dr. Ahmet Şahidov talked about the Khojaly Massacre by taking the floor separately. After the performance program which is staged by Azerbaijan State Artist Aybeniz Haşimova and her team about the occurrences of Khojaly, "Service Award to the Turkish World" Plaques were presented to Dr. Akkan Suver, Şamil Ayrım, Dr. İsmail Safi and Journalist Ardan Zentürk.

Minister of Interior of the Republic of Montenegro Mevludin Nuhodžić accepted President of Marmara Group Foundation and Honorary Consul General of Montenegro to İstanbul Dr. Akkan Suver. The Ambassador of Montenegro to Ankara Branko Milic, Lawyer Serhat Tabanca, Nigar Sargan and Sezgin Bilgiç from Marmara Group Foundation were also present. The Show of Azerbaijan State Ensemble of Folk Dances

In "Turkey-Azerbaijan Common Heritage" program, Azerbaijan State Ensemble of Folk Dances took the stage. The show which was held with the organization of Hazar Folklore Education and Research Center (Hazarfem) started with the speech of Hazarfem President Nuran Acar. Acar, who said that Azerbaijan State Folk Dance is the most important touchstone of Azerbaijan, used this expressions : "Dance is the only common language in all parts of the world. Societies present their experiences, cultures, history, sorrows and joys in dance. Every dance figure is a word. At the end of the dance you get a huge text. " Ensemble presented examples of Azerbaijani culture in the first part of the event which intended to further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood between Turkey and Azerbaijan that have common language, history and culture. The program ended with the "Koroghlu National Ballet" which handled Koroghlu's heroism. After the show President of the Marmara Group Foundation Prof. Dr. Akkan Suver and Chief Advisor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Dr. Erman Tuncer presented flowers to the artists. Chinese Radio and Television Corporation (XINHUA)is preparing a documentary on the life of Dr. Akkan Suver. The documentary, which will aslo be featured by the studies of Dr. Akkan Suver in the field of "One Belt - One Road", will be released on April 23, 2019 in Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China with an international gala. In addition to Dr. Akkan Suver from Turkey, it was learned that the documentary would include a civil society leader from the Russian Federation, Greece, Italy, France, Egypt, Pakistan and Thailand.

Eurasian Economic Summits Cup Race was held

Within the framework cultural activities of the 22nd Eurasian Economic Summit, Rider Akın Sözen's Uğur Bubam owned by Aslan Vapur won the Eurasian Economic Summits Cup Race organized by Jockey Club of Turkey as a tradition since 2009. The Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Dr. Ali Hasanov presented the cup to the owner of the horse on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation.
