On behalf of the Foundation, Mr Cafer Okray – Board Member, attended the General Assembly of the Vienna Economic Forum in Vienna, one of the partners of the Marmara Group Foundation. At the General Assembly of the Vienna Economic Forum, counted as one of the leading Think-tank platforms, Former Chancellor H.E. Erhard Busek and Secretary General and Ambassador Mme. Elene Kirtcheva made visionary remarks on Balkans. During his speech, Mr Cafer Okray emphasized the importance the Marmara Group attaching to the Vienna Economic Forum.

Visiting the Mayor of Beşiktaş Municipality at his Office within the framework of preparations for 19th Eurasian Economic Summit, Dr. Akkan Suver and Engin Köklüçınar made a presentation on the Summit. Within the framework of preparations for 19. Eurasian Economic Summit, Marmara Group Foundation paid a visit to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. During the visit, the mission of Marmara Group Foundation composed of Dr. Akkan Suver, (R) General Necdet Timur, Engin Köklüçınar and Şamil Ayrım was firstly received by Ambassador of Turkey in TRNC, H.E. Derya Kanbay; after that, the mission visited Former President of TRNC, H.E. Derviş Eroğlu at his office.

The Global Baku Forum, has been organizing for 4 years continuously, was given a start through the speech of the President of Azerbaijan, H.E. İlham Aliyev on March 10, 2016. During the Forum, Intellectual participants, including Dr. Akkan Suver emphasized the importance of multi-culturalism via their ideas put forward. At the 4th Global Baku Forum where actual and former presidents, former statesmen and contemporary intellectuals took part, speakers evaluated the togetherness of the multi-lingual, multi-faith and multinational aspect of Azerbaijan as an example of the peace.

Women Leaders Meet at the Discussion Panel of the Democracy Inspectors Association

On 5th March 2016, Müjgan Suver, The President of the Marmara Group Foundation EU and Human Rights Platform, attended the panel discussion on “Different Methods and Approaches in Advocating Women’s Rights” which has been organized within the framework of the World Women’s Day activities arranged by The Democracy Inspectors Association. The panel discussion, which was realized at the headquarter of the Democracy Inspectors Association, hosted the civil society representatives who question women’s status in our society and campaign against the troubles with the awareness and utilization of women’s rights. In this panel discussion, Müjgan Suver mentioned the historical evolution of women’s movements and updated the attendees about the conventions organized by the Marmara Group Foundation EU and Human Rights Platform in order to strengthen both the socio-cultural and socio-economic status of women
