Bulgaria's National Day was celebrated

On the occasion of Bulgaria's National Day, Bulgaria's Consul General Angel Angelov gave a reception at the Bulgarian Consulate's Building in Istanbul. Foreign mission chiefs as well as Bulgarian citizens of Istanbul attended the reception. The event, which also Dr. Akkan Suver and Mrs. Müjgan Suver attended together, continued until late hours.

Consul General of Bosnia and Herzegovina was at the Marmara Group Foundation

Consul General of China visited the Marmara Group Foundation

Cui Wei, Consul General of the People's Republic of China, visited the Marmara Group Foundation. Consul General Cui Wei, who startet his new position in Istanbul, obtained information about the work of the Marmara Group Foundation from Dr. Akkan Suver and his colleagues. At the visit, Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu, Ertuğrul Kumcuoğlu, Ali RızaArslan, Cafer Okray and Dilek Terimer were also present. Dr. Suver and the delegation of the Marmara Group Foundation presented a gift to Consul General Cui Wei, who stated that the People's Republic of China will be at the 21st Eurasian Economic Summit.

NGO Roadmap determined after the Equality, Justice, Womens Summit of 2017

The Equality, Justice and Women's Summit took place on November 30 - December 1, 2017 with the participation of academicians, policymakers, non-governmental organizations and media representatives who think for gender equality and produce organized politics. The conlusion report was shared with the public immediately after the meeting. On February 26, 2018 a round table meeting was held with female civil society leaders, media representatives and academicians participating in the women's struggle. The conclusion report was discussed, a common road map to be monitored was identified. NGOs with different visions and opinions were sought to create a common agenda within a new language and strategy framework.

Koray Aksoy, Montenegrin Consul General in Gaziantep and Cüneyt Bosnalıer, Montenegrin Consul General in Izmir, were also present at the visit.

The Consulate General of Hungary opened a Photo Exhibition

Balázs Hendrich, Consul General of Hungary and Gábor Fodor, Director of the Hungarian Cultural Center opened a photo exhibition. At the exhibition, wrestling coach Rezso Péter's photos of the 1920s and of the reorganized wrestling sport are shown to the visitors as well as of the modernized Turkey. The exhibition, including a photograph of Atatürk which was never exhibited before, was the center of attention of the participants. Dr. Akkan Suver also attended the exhibition.

Consulate General of Bangladesh celebrated the International Mother Language Day

A panel was organized by Dr. Monirul Islam, Consul General of Bangladesh, on the occasion of the International Mother Language Day at Istanbul University's Language Center. The panel of international students in Istanbul was headed by Turkish Consul General Monirul Islam in Bangladesh. The panel that was organized in the language center where students from all over the world learn Turkish, was lead by Consul General Dr. Monirul Islam. Dr. Akkan Suver made a presentation together with Dr. Nazmi Ağıl from Koç University and journalist Ahmet Coşkunaydın. After the panelists, Bangladeshi, Syrian, Macedonian, Ugandan, Zimbabwean and Malaysian students cheered up the panel with their performances and songs in their own language.

At the lunch, which was attended by Patriarch Bartholomeos, Dr. Akkan Suver, Ali Rıza Arslan and Müjgan Suver where present on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation as well as Prof. Dr. Erman Tuncer, Macedonian Consul General Zerrin Abaz and Secretary General of the Patriarchate Father Yuakim Billis. Beyti Güler, owner of the Beyti Restaurant, presented a tile-embroidered memorial plate to President Ivanov.
