Presidential elections are being held in Azerbaijan

In the Presidential election in Azerbaijan, which had the participation of 7 candidates, the Marmara Group Foundation was present as an Observer. The delegation from the Marmara Group Foundation, consisting of Dr. Akkan Suver, Sezgin Bilgiç, and Prof. Dr. Özgür Çengel, visited approximately 40 election precincts. The delegation, announcing their observations to various television channels and press members, summarized that "They witnessed an election in line with Western norms".

Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy, Perviz Shahbazov, received the delegation from the Marmara Group Foundation.

The delegation, consisting of Dr. Akkan Suver, the President of the Marmara Group Foundation, Sezgin Bilgiç, the Secretary Genera , and Prof. Dr. Özgür Çengel, a member of the Board of Trustees, who were in Azerbaijan on the occasion of the presidential elections, was received by Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, H.E. Perviz Shahbazov. Senior officials from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy were also present at the meeting.

The Republic of India Turns 75

On the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the Republic of India, a reception was hosted at the Istanbul Hilton Hotel by the Ambassador of India to Ankara, Virander Paul, and his wife, Racheline Shadap, along with the Consul General of India in Istanbul, Mijito Vinito, and his wife, Shin Jung Lee. The reception, attended by Indian citizens, was also attended by Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation, and Member of the Executive Board Mahmut Saklı, as well as foreign mission chiefs and local dignitaries in Istanbul.

Atatürk Statue in Kazakhstan

In Almaty, Kazakhstan, at Atatürk Park located on El-Farabi Boulevard, an Atatürk Statue erected on a granite pedestal was unveiled during a ceremony. The 3-meter-high Atatürk Statue was crafted by Kazakh sculptors Aidos Burkitbayer and Timur Burkitbayer. The opening ceremony of the Atatürk Statue, inaugurated by Kazakhstan's Minister of Culture Aida Baleyeva, was attended by Türkiye’s Ambassador to Astana Mustafa Kapucu, Secretary-General of TÜRKSOY Sultan Raev, and Mayor of Almaty Yerbolat Dosoyer. In honor of the unveiling of the Atatürk Statue, Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation, sent a letter of thanks to Yerkebulan Sapiyev, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Ankara, and Nuriddin Amankul, Kazakhstan's Consul General in Istanbul. Dr. Akkan Suver's letter read as follows: “As a shining example of the graciousness of the Kazakh State and People, the Atatürk Statue you have erected has filled us with pride and joy. Through your esteemed personage, we, as the Marmara Group Foundation, extend our gratitude to the Government of Kazakhstan and our Kazakh brothers and sisters. Please accept our deepest respects.”

We condemn the attack on Santa Maria Church

Dr. Akkan Suver's statement is as follows: "We strongly condemn the attack on the Santa Maria Italian Church in Istanbul during the mass, with our civil society identity. This act of evil is not only an attack, a murder, against the Christian community but also an attack against humanity. We extend our condolences to the family of the deceased Latin Catholic citizen. We believe that the perpetrators of this inhumane act will be apprehended and brought to justice as soon as possible."

Consul General of People's Republic of China Gives Conference on

The conference, organized by the Marmara Group Foundation, was attended with great interest.
